I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for any cruise like this before! Well, maybe for Carnival Horizon last year which was my first cruise back after the pandemic. It was on that cruise that I first got a glimpse of Mardi Gras! Oh man, what a sight! So the stars lined up right this year to book her to celebrate my birthday. Now that I am nearly 6 weeks away from my cruise, I am busy researching all I can about the ship, it’s restaurants, entertainment, and all of the new and exciting things it has to offer.
I have booked all of the specialty restaurants onboard, including Chef’s Table, which I am super excited about! When I was on Carnival Vista, the chef there told us that Mardi Gras has its own unique Chef’s Table menu! I am so excited to check it out! And of course, to see how well they handle my food allergies.
I have made this trip extra special by booking a pre-cruise stay at the Hyatt Regency inside Orlando International Airport! I know it may sound silly, but I have wanted to stay in this hotel since we have been traveling to Orlando. Daniel and I have a late night flight, so it sounded like the perfect time to stay there. In the morning, we will be taking GoPort to Port Canaveral from the airport. This is also a first for us. Then, after the cruise, we will be heading over to Walt Disney World for a one night post-cruise stay and hopefully get to check out the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue before we head home. I am still trying to get a reservation to Hoop-Dee-Doo (pray for me). Our backup plan is to go to Epcot and change over to the Beach Club for our stay. Either way, we will be back in November to WDW, so we will have another chance to see that show.
So for now, I am busy watching lots of YouTube videos on everything and anything Mardi Gras, and driving Daniel crazy with my excitement! LOL I can’t wait to vlog our journey and share it with you when we return!
